Chelsea
President
Chelsea started at CICU in 2010 as an MSR and was later promoted to Vice President in 2016. In 2019 Chelsea accepted the presidency position and has strongly held this seat ever since. Chelsea was born and raised in Champaign with the exception of heading West to live in California for a short time. She now spends her time raising 3 children with her husband and enjoys crafts, being outdoors, and making lasting memories with family. Chelsea's favorite part of working at CICU is finding ways to bring the community affordable financial services with solutions for every situation that may come up. Jerrica
Vice President
Jerrica started at CICU in 2017 as an MSR and was later promoted to Vice President at the start of 2022. She was born in Dover, DE and moved to Champaign in 2008. Jerrica loves all furry friends, has 2 of her own, and enjoys when they visit the credit union. She enjoys spending time with loved ones, investing time into her hobby of photography, and retail therapy trips to Target. Her favorite part of being VP is getting to know each and every member and watching them succeed in their own personal lives. Jerrica grew up knowing her passion was helping others. She assumed health care was the direction to go but quickly came to realize that being able to help people overcome financial struggles fit that desire. Marisa
Senior MSR/Marketing Specialist
Marisa joined our team at CICU in 2021. She was born and raised in Michigan but relocated with her twin to Champaign, IL in 2020. She obtained her degree in marketing, has prior credit union experience, and started her own small business in the past. Marisa enjoys learning different languages, caring for her furry friend Alfie, and traveling home to visit family. Jennifer
Senior MSR/Head of Collections
Jennifer came to us in the middle of 2022 as an MSR. She has been in the credit union world for over 7 years. Jennifer was born and raised in Champaign, IL. She enjoys spending time outdoors, listening to true crime podcasts, and making memories with her husband and 3 children. Jennifer's favorite part about working at the credit union is getting to know the members and watching them grow through life. Melissa
Senior Lending Specialist
Melissa came to us in the middle of 2022 as our Loan Officer. As a little girl, Melissa and her family moved around from Alaska, to Missouri, and back to Illinois where she decided to stay. She has been in the credit union world for over 20 years. Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband and son, reading books of all kinds, and completing projects. Her favorite part about working at the credit union is fulfilling the motto "people helping people." As a loan officer she comes across many situations of people struggling and being able to help someone in need follows the motto as we are always trying to help our members the best we can. Bri
MSR
Bri joined our team in 2025 after relocating to Champaign from Decatur. She comes to us with two years of previous credit union experience. She is currently studying history at Parkland College and loves to read, write short stories, hike and swim. She loves the credit union atmosphere for it’s people-helping-people mission statement, and her favorite part about CICU is her coworkers.
Kylia
MSR
Kylia joined our team in 2026 as an MSR. She recently graduated with her associate’s degree from Parkland College and is beginning her career in the financial world. Having grown up in Champaign, she sees many familiar faces in our drive-through, which makes connecting with our members especially meaningful to her. She enjoys meeting new people and building relationships with the members she serves each day. Her favorite part about the credit union is getting to know our members and helping make their experience with us a positive one. When she’s not at work, Kylia enjoys working on cars, spending time with her friends, and hanging out with her two ferrets. She is excited to continue learning and growing in her new career and looks forward to becoming a familiar face to our members.
Mixie
MSR
Mixie joined the team in 2026 as an MSR. She is from Costa Rica and speaks both Spanish and English. She was drawn to CICU because of the community focus and the opportunity to help people, not only with their financial needs but in making a positive difference in their day! Having many years of experience in customer service, Mixie excels at listening, finding solutions, and making people feel welcomed, valued and understood. She is someone who is fully focused on the people around her, whether that’s a member walking through the door or a coworker sitting beside her. Even in her short time at CICU, she has already made a habit of being a daily blessing to those around her through her kindness, positivity and genuine care for others. When she’s not at work she enjoys spending time with her daughter, exploring new places and visiting Disney. She is excited to connect with members and help their small steps add up to big successes!
